Abstract

ABSTRACT There was an organization Lanfang Kongsi 蘭 芳 公 司, (1777-1884), in western Kalimantan island, belong to Chinese diaspora gold miners. Some western researchers says it runs with the democratic republic system. It has very unique decision making process and the way to choose their chief and staff. This paper shows the cultural background which proved as the dominant element in cohesiveness of kongsi members. Lan Fang Kongsi founding and the end of it by the Dutch occupation. A discussion of possibility models which system has been adopted and copied for the kongsi operation, too early in the time to be copied from any existing Wetern democratic republic. ABSTRAK Dalam sejarah Kalimantan Barat pernah berdiri perkumpulan beranggotakan para penambang emas Tionghoa : Lanfang Kongsi 蘭 芳 公 司, (1777-1884). Kongsi memiliki cara pengelolaan yang oleh beberapa peneliti Barat disamakan dengan sistim pemerintahan demokrasi republik. Tulisan ini menguraikan latar belakang budaya anggota kongsi yang menjadi perekat mempersatukan para anggotanya. Bentuk organisasi dan mekanisme pengambilan putusan dan pemilihan Ketua serta para pengurus. Awal pendirian dan berakhirnya kongsi ini karena diduduki pemerintah kolonial Belanda. Paper diakhiri dengan diskusi kemungkinan model acuan yang telah ditiru untuk menjalankan sistim pengelolaan kongsi, sebelum adanya contoh tata negara demokrasi barat terbentuk.

Abstract

Hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) merupakan busana muslimah yang telah ditetapkan bentuk dan penggunaannya dalam syariah Islam. Namun dalam perkembangannya telah terjadi pergeseran nilai fungsi dari hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) sebagai penutup aurat wanita. Hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) kini cenderung hanya untuk menampilkan pesona kecantikan penggunanya dari pada nilai religiusnya. Desain hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) yang saat ini ada dipasaran ternyata tampil lebih modis dengan bentuk, warna, dan motif yang bervariasi sehingga sangat diminati dan menjadi tren dikalangan wanita muslim di Indonesia, khususnya di kota-kota besar seperti pelajar, mahasiswi bahkan para ibu-muda untuk dapat tampil modis tanpa tahu apakah pakaian yang dikenakan tersebut sudah sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah  sebagai busana muslimah. Bentuk hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) harus memenuhi syarat bentuk yang diatur dalam qur'an dan hadits. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana sesungguhnya kriteria hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) sebagai busana muslimah menurut qur'an dan sunnah dan apakah terdapat nilai fetisisme komoditi gaya hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) dalam busana muslimah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dalam penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan  metode penelitian kualitatif dengan purposive sampling dengan teknik analisis isi pada sampel data untuk mengetahui muatan nilai fetisisme komoditi pada gaya hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) dalam busana muslimah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya muatan nilai fetisisme komoditi pada produk hijab. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan prilaku kaum wanita muslim dalam berbusana dapat memilih dan memilah kerudung dan jilbab mana yang sesuai dengan yang telah dipersyaratkan oleh qur'an dan sunnah. Begitu pula  dalam proses merancang hijab (kerudung dan jilbab) sebagai  seorang desainer maupun produsen busana muslim  harus berpedoman pada qur'an dan sunnah.        Kata kunci: busana wanita muslimah, gaya hijab, kerudung dan jilbab, syariah, fetisisme komoditi,ABSTRACT Hijab (veil and jilbab) is a Muslim clothing that has been established and its use in the form of Islamic law. But in its development has been a shift in the value of the function of the hijab (veil and jilbab) to cover the awrah of a woman. Hijab (veil and jilbab) now tend only to show the beauty of users of the religious values. Design hijab (veil and jilbab) that currently exist in the market turned out to look more fashionable with shapes, colors, and patterns that vary so greatly in demand and a trend among Muslim women in Indonesia, especially in big cities such as students, college student even young mothers to be able to look fashionable without knowing whether the clothing worn is in conformity with the rules as Muslim dress. Form of hijab (veil and jilbab) have to qualify the form set out in the Qur'an and Sunnah. The problem is how exactly the criteria of hijab (veil and jilbab) as a Muslim dress according to the Qur'an and Sunnah and whether there is a value of commodity fetishism style hijab (veil and jilbab) in Muslim dress. Under these conditions, in this study used qualitative research methods approach with purposive sampling with content analysis technique on a sample of data to determine the charge value of commodity fetishism in the style of hijab (veil and jilbab) in Muslim dress. The analysis showed the presence of a charge on the product value of commodity fetishism hijab. Through this research is expected behavior of the Muslim woman in a dress can select and sort veils and jilbab which are compatible with those required by the Qur'an and Sunnah. Similarly, in the process of designing the hijab (veil and jilbab) as a designer and manufacturer of Muslim fashion should be guided by the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Abstract

The Division of PT Telkomsel Branch Ambon which do the guerrillas work in the field to promote product knowledge of telkomsel is Broadband and Digital Sales Division.  It has a major task in monitoring the sale and purchase of products M-KIOSK Data and Internet package. Supervisor of Broadbad and Digital Sales Division is demanded to have organizational communication skill to make the solidity of teamwork staff in this division. The research method is a descriptive case study. It has run for one month (June-July 2015) with the observation and the interview of Broadband and Digital Sales Supervisor, Mr. Victor Kwando. The results illustrated that by carrying the spirit of The Telkomsel Way, the supervisor can be very successful in transfering teamwork philosophical message to the staff  by using open communication between supervisor-staff. The Supervisor of  Broadband and Digital Sales establish an open communication within formal and informal organizational structure. This openness led credence to the effectiveness of organizational communication in minimizing misunderstandings among all staff members of Broadband and Digital Sales Division. Keyword: Supervisor of Division, Organizational Communication, Teamwork

Abstract

The function of the mosque grows continuously, as consequences of human activities that are always followed by other activities afterwards. The Increasing number of users and the type of activities effecting the needs for more area for the mosque to grow. This resulted in an imbalance between user behavior in activity and the mosque physical environment. Therefore, the results of the architectural design could be one of the behaviors facilitator, but it also could be a drawback of the behavior. Salman Mosque has been chosen for the research because of its long history, aged over 50 years, and a first mosque located on campus with lively activity. This research aims to asses the Salman Mosque accommodation of the user need to what extent and to observe the tendency of the current user behavior pattern. The method used is a combination of qualitative methods in the initial survey, conducted by distributing questionnaires to determine what will be raised in the research, and ethnographic. As well as qualitative methods to understand the concept of Salman Mosque interior, facilities, situations, and behaviors. The result of this research is concluded that Salman Mosque has fulfilled the activity needs, however, the capacity of the mosque has not been able to accommodate the number of users at the busiest time. The physical state of the mosque has an impact on the behavior of the user, such as complying the flow of circulation in accordance to the space organization, such as gathering in an open area that has better air circulation. That kind of behavior is making influence on the environment itself, for instance its addition on the facility outside the original concept of the mosque. Hereby, it is expected to give benefits for being consideration in the development of Salman Mosque, and to be a reference for further research.Keywords : layout, social activity, Salman mosque

Abstract

There are three important events in human's life, such as births, marriages and deaths. Death rites are one of the most important in Chinese culture. In Chinese culture, death rites symbolize a new start for a new life, connecting the lives and the deceased, giving pledge to ancestors, and involved rich visuality in the process. In a death rite, there are a lot of elements and artifacts with high esthetics, art values, and good craftmanship. But in the end, they are not only functioned as decorations, but they have spesific functions and meanings, which usually not realized by the people.This research focused on money papers and prayer paper in Chinese's death rites. There are three rites locations observed to look at the differences and cultural acculturations between Chinese culture and local culture. Research problems are to find out how those elements are used in the rites, their meanings, values and functions in death rites. The research are using visual ethnography as a method and visual anthropology approach in order to gain deeper understanding of research objects' roles in death rites. The results showed their roles as important parts of death rites, and as mediums of communication. They delivered immanent communication and transcendental communication. They are also functioned to help human being to understand their humanities. In the end, money paper and prayer paper are not just requirements for rites or decorations, but meaningful to entire human life. Keywords: Death Rites, Money Paper, Prayer Paper, Visual Ethnography

Abstract

Marketing communications is something that must be implemented in company. Differentiation and development of the market that getting forward demanding company more wise in the conduct of marketing communications strategy. Currently many companies using social media as marketing communications media. Also Telkom University, as a universities based on ICT, Telkom University want to communicate messages by social media. One of the these social media is instagram. Instagram is the application of social media at smartphone and the function have almost the same as others social media, but the difference lies in the taking of photos and can share information on other users. This research aims to review and analyze the strategy of marketing communications SMB Telkom University in 2015/2016 throught instagram and to knows message strategy and media strategy used by Marketing Telkom University in marketing communication via Instagram. This research used qualitative descriptive method. This research found that there are several steps messages and strategies of media used by Marketing Telkom University in his marketing communications through instagram.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia periklanan yang semakin maju mengharuskan setiap brand untuk memberikan daya tarik terhadap iklannya dengan memunculkan keunggulan yang dimilikinya untuk menarik minat beli konsumen. Salah satu daya tarik iklan adalah brand ambassador. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh brand ambassador kosmetik Wardah terhadap keputusan pembelian di kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita yang berusia 15-44 tahun yang berdomisili di Kota Bandung dengan jumlah sampel 100 responden. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer diperoleh dari wawancara, dan kuesioner, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari penelitian terdahulu, buku, jurnal, dan internet. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diketahui thitung > tabel, maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. yaitu nilai thitung (4,828) > tabel (1,984). Berdasarkan koefisien determinasi, besarnya pengaruh Dewi Sandra sebagai brand ambassador Kosmetik Wardah terhadap keputusan pembelian di Kota Bandung adalah sebesar 18,4%, sedangkan sisanya 81,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, kemajuan berbisnis melalui internet pun semakin berkembang. Pada zaman sekarang ini, masyarakat sudah banyak yang menyukai berbelanja secara online, karena selain praktis, harga barang yang ditawarkan pun relatif murah atau sama dengan di toko konvensional. Salah satu toko online yang digemari masyarakat Indonesia adalah Zalora. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh perilaku konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian (studi pada konsumen Zalora Indonesia). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perilaku konsumen di zaman teknologi seperti saat ini secara signifikan berpengaruh kepada keputusan pembelian pada Zalora Indonesia. Hal ini ditunjukan dari uji koefisien korelasi, dimana tingkat hubungan antara perilaku konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian pada Zalora Indonesia termasuk dalam kategori yang kuat dan searah, yaitu memperoleh hasil sebesar 0,671. Adapun besarnya pengaruh perilaku konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian pada Zalora Indonesia adalah sebesar 45,02%.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze Obama’s speech at climate change conference (COP 21) held in Paris November 18, 2015. The analysis uses Fairclough’s three-dimensional model The three-dimensional model includes such aspects as text (language), discursive practice, and social practice. The results of analyzing these aspects show that under the textual (language) aspect, this speech is dominated by the use of both the imperative mood and material process of transitivity. Under the discursive practice, the speech blends the discourse of long-term commitment in achieving the two degree Celsius global warming target with the discourse of innovation and investment in clean energy technologies. As for its social practice, the speech reflects the shifting from the discourse of climate change into the discourse of innovation and investment in clean energy. Abstract

Meningkatnya penetrasi internet di Indonesia membuat kasus perundungan siber di media sosial makin marak terjadi. Di Indonesia, perundungan siber tidak hanya menimpa kalangan selebritas, tetapi juga masyarakat biasa. Beberapa kasus bahkan menyebabkan korbannya bunuh diri. Akan tetapi, pelaku merasa tidak bersalah. Dari fenomena ini perlu dijelaskan bentuk perundungan siber di media sosial dan pencegahannya bagi korban dan pelaku di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus dan observasi terhadap akun media sosial di Facebook, Path, Twitter, dan Instagram yang teridentifkasi perundungan siber. Sesuai dengan teori Willard, penelitian menunjukkan ada tujuh bentuk perundungan siber yaitu flaming (pertengkaran daring), harassment (pelecehan), denigration (ftnah), impersonating (akun palsu), trickery (tipu daya), exclusion (pengucilan), dan cyberstalking (penguntitan siber). Di Indonesia, ditemukan tiga objek perundungan siber selain pada individu yaitu wilayah, agama, dan institusi atau profesi tertentu. Langkah pencegahan yang perlu dilakukan adalah sosialisasi UU ITE dan etika berinternet yang disebut 'PIKIR'yaitu Penting, Informatif, Kebaikan, Inspiratif, dan Realitas.Kata kunci: perundungan siber, pencegahan, etika berinternet, UU ITEABSTRACTSome cases of cyberbullying in social media have been increasing lately as the result of the internet penetration in Indonesia. The cyberbullying happens not only to celebrities but also to common people. Some cases even lead to suicide but the perpetrators tend to not feel guilty. Based on the phenomenon, it is important to describe forms of cyberbullying in social media in Indonesia and the ways to prevent cyberbullying from happening both for the victims and perpetrators. Using case studies and observations, this qualitative research examines some social media services where cyberbullying happened, such as Facebook, Path, Twitter and Instagram. Relating to Willard theory, the fnding shows that there are seven forms of cyberbullying in Indonesia: flaming, harassment, denigration, impersonating, trickery, exclusion and cyberstalking. The cyberbullying in Indonesia, however, have three other objects besides an individual as her/his own including cyberbullying to region, religion and institution or a particular profession. The preventive acts to avoid cyberbullying are the socialization of Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE) and netiquette called 'PIKIR' as is it Prominent, Informative, Kind, Inspiring and Real.Keywords: cyberbullying, prevention, victim and perpetrator, netiquette, Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE)
